UNCA's mission is to strengthen and empower our member organizations; to foster neighborhood pride, local decision-making, and better social conditions; and to help individuals and families lift themselves out of desperate social conditions in some of America’s most threatened neighborhoods.

UNCA Builds Neighborhoods with Neighbors
UNCA is concerned about the whole neighborhood, its welfare and spirit. UNCA member agencies serve whole families through comprehensive, coordinated, neighborhood-based and family focused services.

The vision of United Neighborhood Centers of America, Inc. is to become the proactive force of all neighborhood centers and settlement houses in the United States; to achieve positive name recognition and pride in membership to act as a voice for change through advocacy and public education to recapture the movement for social and economic justice in partnership with neighborhoods and to provide new and expanding opportunities to member agencies in order to maximize the capacity of their efforts to advance the development of youth and families in our nation’s urban neighborhoods.
